CIS: Council of International Schools

Shaping the future of international education

New CIS-commissioned research explores international
school graduates’ transition into higher education during the pandemic

A new study explores the experiences of international school graduates who transitioned to university during the pandemic, studying online or in hybrid mode in countries different from their high school locations. It has important implications for counsellors, including around cultivating time and routine management skills, helping students to access information about universities in advance of their move, and the critical role of international school alumni.

This research emerged from the CIS Summit of University and School Leaders and was produced in collaboration with Lizhou Wang at the CIHE, Boston College, Lynch School of Education, USA.
